The “Fit” Part

The Nerdy Part of my blog touches on the bookish nature of the vast majority of its content. I am the definition of a book worm! A book a week featured on this blog is proof of that.

The Fit part was inspired by books as well! Books such as Spark and Can’t Hurt Me fuel the ever blazing fire I have inside of me that fuels my workouts!

I do this for the brain benefits, the physical ones are bonus!

I’m a Team Canada Athlete, with a reading addiction! So this is me! Take it or leave it!

Kettlebell Sport marathons is what I do. A full marathon is 1 hour lift, and a half marathon is 30 minutes. In the photo I’m completing a 1-hour 12kg lift in the long cycle event (clean and jerks) very intense! Everything burns after the 30-40 minute mark! This is the most challenging thing I’ve ever discovered, and I’ve been hooked since my first class back in 2013.

✌🏾𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝟏𝟎 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲, which means less than a year ago I was very pregnant and in labour. Compared to that, this isn’t that difficult 😅. “𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝟷𝟸𝘬 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘣𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘴” 💪🏾😂⁣

👌🏾Lastly, 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐈’𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐩! I’ve felt physically weak (𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘳-𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺) for SO LONG that it became a part of my identity. I was generous with the self-deprecating skinny arm jokes “𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐲 ‘𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘺 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪’𝘴”… 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬, 𝐦𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨.
