“How you get your Preschooler to listen to you the first time?” Is a question I’m definitely not worthy of receiving, yet I get often. Here’s my answer:
𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭: I make the conditions favorable for good listening by keeping him well fed & well rested. (𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵)
𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝: I make eye contact when asking him things, and if he seems distracted I ask him to tell me what I asked him. Hearing it from his mouth is like signing a contract.
𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝: He always gets a 10, 5 and 2 minute warning before leaving anywhere he’s having fun! It helps.
𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐲, saying “𝘐’𝘮 𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘺, 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦” makes even leaving the park a delicious idea😁. #foodlovingkids #thatsmyboy
I’m curious about this:
𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝?
𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮? 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭?

Entertaining young kids doesn’t 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 exhausting. If you give them the opportunity, they’re very good at entertaining themselves and tiring themselves out. Even babies enjoy being outdoors (𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨) Make a habit of going to to the park, the beach or 𝐀𝐍𝐘𝗪𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 outdoors. The fresh air will do nothing but serve you both.
Getting fresh air has been linked to mental health wellness as well. Studies show that fresh air works like a natural anti-anxiety medicine. The endorphins from the exercise also helps increase Your General mood, improves your libido and helps lower-stress.
