Oh yeah, I have a second child!🤪
Today’s Jedi-mom Trick is about exercising equality in the house.
Most of my days involve entertaining my eldest child with activities, books and games specific to him.
We are constantly doing stuff together, but his baby brother?
Well… he’s always THERE but not really included in our activities.
Today I got reminded that toddlers and babies benefit from focused, intentional 1-on-1 play with their parents too!
Now I try to find space in my day to spend 1-on-1 time with the baby too.
According the American Academy of Pediatrics, there are SO MANY benefits to a child’s development including promoting their social-emotional, cognitive, language, and self-regulation skills.
When reading that, I admitted to myself that I could be better. 🙋🏾♀️
I now try to dedicate special playtime for the baby and I (to my eldest child’s horror 😱😭) #siblingrivalry
But he matters too.
I see you, my giggly little prince.
And I love you too.
Is it just me?
Are you guilty of giving the eldest siblings more attention than the baby?
Also… if you have any BABY games I can play with a 1.5 year old, please share! 😍
Thanks in advance.
